Summary:

Ben Cartwright and his sons run their ranch, the Ponderosa, on the Nevada side of Lake Tahoe and contribute to taming the wild West. Badge without honor: A stranger arrives in town saying he's a Deputy Marshall and needs Jackson Blaine, a friend of the Cartwrights to ride with him to San Francisco to testify against the Murdock Gang. Adam get suspicious and insists on riding along. The Blood line: Ben is forced by circumstance to kill Luke Grayson. When Luke's son Todd arrives from out East, he is searching for both answers and revenge. The Courtship: Helen, the widow of Ben's old friend Josh Layton charms Hoss much to the dismay of Ben who knows she is a chronic gambler. Death at dawn: A gang of 19th century gangsters holds Virginia City in thrall, forcing the citizens to buy protection lest 'accidents' befall them.
